Policeman Saves Suicide Man Life.

In the article "Police Officer Saves Man Who Stepped In Front Of A Train" by Dan Fastenberg he explains a policeman Gustavo Chaparro who saves a man who wanted to go suicide from jumping in front of a speeding train. It all started in southern Colombian city of  Medellin when the "suicide" man was walking in front of the train. The next part was caught on the subways surveillance camera. When Chaparro snatched the man back and grabbed him away from the train. It was a second from his death when Chaparro grabbed him. The picture on top shows the man who is beginning to walk in front of the train. Then there's the policeman behind him who caught him. It was a good thing that Chaparro was there to save him because everyone else was in shocked to do anything.  "It is my job to protect and serve the community , I will continue to do so." He said after the accident.

People have to think about what if he didn't save the man and it would have been his fault. Pressure would have been on him when there's like 3 people around him that could have jumped in it to. My honest opinion is that it's good , it's wonderful that the man is alive and safe. But there should be more than one officer near subway trains especially nowadays. People are getting more and more violent, crazy. And it's pretty easy to fall into the train tracks. But it's hard to get back up and fast moving trains that's not a good mix. In conclusion, there should just be more officers near subway trains because people really need to be watched on what they're doing. One little thing can turn into a huge chaotic situation.

Revenge Using Nuclear Weapons?

In the article "Korean War Part 2" by Choe Sang-Hun In Seoul he explains what is going to happen between North and South Korea and the nuclear bomb war that they assume would begin. Choe says that "Sixty years after the end of the war, tensions are rising on the Korean peninsula." Ever since the Korean War in 1953, North and South Korea have uneasily coexisted on either side of tense and heavily -fortified "demilitarized zone" (DMZ) North and South Korea have had an armistice. But last month, the North declared the armistice that ended the war and has largely kept the peace for the last 60 years "nullified."  Also they also threatened to launch a "pre-emptive nuclear strike" against South Korea and the Untied States."

We still have to think about North Korea. They are constantly spending money for million-man army and build up a secret nuclear program. People aren't able to eat and get things that they need on a daily basis. 2 million people died of starvation. Plus North Korea has fewer people that have internet access, TVs and radios only have government channels and people are scared because they think they might get sent to labor camps. North Korea should just hold off and stop paying for all of these other things it's causing stress to many people.

In my own opinion I believe that North Korea shouldn't come at South Korea and United States. Everything just isn't meant to be. North Korea needs to worry about getting everyone together. Weather it's food for people or South Korea and United States vs. North Korea. People may be starting rumors for all we know about North and South Korea. Whatever  the problem is it should be a reasonable situation and not over anything immature.

Can I Have A Raise??

In the article "Time For A Raise" By Patrica Smith explains why President Obama wants to increase federal minimum wage $9 an hour. Catrina Crable, 10th grader at Martin County High School in Florida works 20 to 25 hours a week as a restaurant hostess , earning $7.79 an hour to pay for all her life needs. "Even working so many hours, I don't get paid that much," she says "It's stressful." In the article Smith explains that if Obama raises $9 an hour from $7.25 then people would be able to have more money in their pockets. Also being able to pay for groceries, rent and other personal things. There are different reasoning's for this change. There's a good purpose and a bad purpose.

Most people think that it's a good idea to have the $9 increase to an hour pay . From making almost $10 dollars to having extra money in your pocket. On the other hand the bad purpose to this "good idea" is whoever is working  for their boss he/she would have to be getting paid more of course because of the $9 increase. Once that happens then the boss will have to pay you more coming out of he/she pocket. Plus rent for the workplace, electricity and everything else. Which means that people may start getting less hours. That way the boss of the workplace wouldn't have to pay their workers much. But it wouldn't make much of a difference since hours would be getting shortened. Rajeev Dhawan, an economist at Georgia State University  said "Their hourly rate may go up, but their number of hour may come down, so it's not an overall increase." People could be afraid of this increase because people are earning more money when and their spending it instead of saving.

My honest opinion is that people should be making a higher pay because of how hard their working. But if hours are going to be getting cut then what's the point of having a $9 increase. There's different people out there so you never know if your boss will cut your hours just because of pay.

Cookie Crumbles

"The Cookie Are Gone"
Attention ,
Warm chocolate chip cookies
They will be missed
The ambassador enjoyed the cookies
Devastated to learn there will be no more,
Inherited the cookie tradition
Now the cookies are gone
part of the sweet experience
Enjoyed for years
Finally, it’s caught up with the famous chocolate chips.
But time moves on.
At least we’ll have the memories.”

For this found poem I talked about Chocolate Chip Cookies. I talked about Chocolate Chip Cookies because I like cookies. But while I was reading this article I wanted to actually have the gist of the article and put it in the poem. In the article "Cookie Crumbles: Frontier ends fresh-baked treats by David Hendee he talks about cookies that have been taken off of an airline company. People think that they cookies should stay on the airline company. Many people ate them when they would kick back and relax. Also airline servants would serve them. Many people would love to eat them but not only did this airline lose them there were many other airline companies that had to let the cookies go.

While I was creating the found poem it was very difficult to get perfect lines for the found poem. But it was fun because I was talking about cookies. But when you actually have something interesting to write about then it will be very fun to write about.
